AEDARSA: Register for Alberta Elevator Industry Seminar

Alberta Elevating Devices & Amusement Rides Safety Association (AEDARSA) CEO Gord Pattison encourages those planning to attend the Alberta Elevator Industry Seminar (AEIS) at the JW Marriott in the Edmonton Ice District on September 14-15 to sign up soon, as organizers expect to reach capacity before the August 30 registration cutoff, the Canadian Elevator Contractors Association (CECA) reports. Included in the sixth annual AEIS is a code-training session for elevator constructors on the new ASME A17.1-2019/CSA B44-19 (effective December 1 in Alberta). As of July 15, 71 people had registered for the main AEIS session and 12 for the elevator constructor session. An agenda can be found here. CECA reminds interested parties its Prairie Region meeting is scheduled the day before AEIS, on September 13 at 3 p.m. Those planning to attend may sign up here.
