The 14th Ordinary General Assembly of the Anatolian Elevator Association (ANASDER) was held on March 2 at the association’s office in Ankara.
ANASDER, one of the well-established associations of the elevator and escalator sector in Türkiye, has been incorporating the leading sector members of the capital since its establishment in 1988. In addition, since it is the largest member association of the Turkish Elevator Industrialists’ Federation, the interest in the general assembly was quite intense. Members came together in the afternoon and took advantage of the sunny spring weather in Ankara with the opportunity to chat over tea on the terrace of the association.
As usual, the Ordinary General Assembly started with a moment of silence and the singing of our national anthem.
Following the formation of the council board, the chairman of the Board of Directors, Hakan Başkaraağaç, who will hand over the task, made an opening speech. At the same time, Başkaraağaç, who also read the annual report of the association, said:
“Anatolian Elevator Operators Association strives to solve professional problems by providing solidarity among our colleagues in our sector. We are looking for solutions to our problems by negotiating with the Ministry of Industry and Technology, which prepares the legislation of elevator industrialists. We filed an administrative lawsuit with the Council of State, demanding the amendment of some articles of the Elevator Market Surveillance and Control Regulation published on November 3, 2022, for which we could not find a solution. Unfortunately, the cases are progressing very slowly and are still ongoing. We negotiated with the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization High Science Council for elevator unit monthly maintenance prices and wrote the amounts that the prices should be. We gave our opinion on the correction of the criteria in the Ministry of Youth and Sports specifications so that domestic companies can undertake the installation works. It was ensured that the professional qualification certificate was given to our association members by Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) METES. I would like to thank Mr. Gürhan Cihaner from the ASO Professional Committee for his interest and cooperation in our association. Negotiations were held with companies that provide professional liability insurance, and it was ensured that our association members benefited from reasonable prices. At the end of the year, recommended elevator maintenance price lists for the coming years were issued. A seminar was held on June 30, 2022, with the participation of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and TSE officials. In cooperation with the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, our association members were able to visit the 2023 Asansör Istanbul Fair. Together with the board of directors and the members of our association, we held meetings on problems and solution proposals.”
He gave brief information about the activities carried out in the past period.
Subsequently, the Reports of the Board of Accounts and the Audit Board were discussed. Separate discharges of the Board of Directors and Supervisory Boards, determination of association member entry and monthly dues, discussion of current dues receivables and discussion and voting of the estimated budget were made. During the break before the new management was elected, the guests were served Cag kebab that was cooked on the terrace, accompanied by delicious smells.
