A tower in downtown Seattle’s red-hot condo market is among the last to be built in the neighborhood this decade, developers say. The Seattle Times reports that NEXUS, a 41-story, 382-unit tower under construction at 1200 Howell Street, will offer residents numerous amenities covering 21,000 sq. ft. and spread across multiple floors. Among them are a fitness center with adjacent yoga room, retail, a destination restaurant, theater and more.

Since 2010, more than 13,000 units have been built in downtown Seattle, but fewer than 900 remain on the market. Developers say the city’s booming population and young professionals’ desire for an urban lifestyle are fueling the demand for high-rise communities. NEXUS was designed by Weber Thompson architects, and is being developed by Burrard Group. It is expected to open in mid 2019.
