There’s work time, then there’s play time, and almost anyone would agree that the holidays are the best time for relaxing and being with friends. The Chicago Elevator Association (CEA) proved this when a full house showed up for its annual Christmas party, held December 6, 2017, at Harry Caray’s in Lombard, Illinois. The enjoyable evening included whiskey, rum and vodka basket door prizes, each packed with nice extras. Winners were selected randomly. CEA donated an Amazon Echo Show for a raffle to benefit the Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation (EESF). The Foundation will receive US$685 from the raffle, which will help educate more than 2,000 children on the safe and proper way to ride elevators and escalators. CEA thanked all who participated in the raffle, noting that their support made the event a success. ELEVATOR WORLD thanks Gerry Adams for sharing the photographs, and Glenn Duncan for providing identifications.
