Because of the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic on human health and the economy, Interlift, the elevator industry’s largest exhibition has been postponed until April 26-29, 2022.
Although increasing vaccination rates and restrictions have shown success in containing the epidemic all around the world, it is estimated that the necessary measures for the control of the epidemic and travel restrictions must continue to be taken continuously as there is not enough safety for holding the exhibition in October 2021 as previously planned.
Henning and Thilo Könicke, the two managing directors of interlift organizer AFAG, noted: “Our top priority is the success of our customers. For a leading international trade fair like interlift, it is essential that there are decision-makers from all over the world. It remains unclear to what extent it will be possible to travel to Germany in October without any restrictions. Therefore, AFAG, in close coordination with interlift sponsor VFA-Interlift and the advisory committee of the exhibition, decided to postpone Interlift to April 26-29, 2022, based on the demands of the industry. We think the general conditions will improve by the new date, during which we will be able to hold a more productive event both for the exhibitors and the customers.”
Registered Exhibitors Reserve Their Rights
Approximately 300 exhibitors of interlift who have registered so far will not have to deal with procedures. Positioning will remain unchanged, as will other booked services. Organizer AFAG will notify the exhibitors regularly.
Next Exhibition Will Be Held in October 2023
Being postponed in 2021 and following the event in April 2022, Interlift will return to its usual date. The next Interlift, which is held in October every two years, is planned for October 2023 as before.
