New Gearless Machine and Control Panel from Istanbul Lift in its 10th Anniversary

RENDER MOTOR.54

Supplying complete systems to various countries from Istanbul, Istanbul Lift (ILALIFT) has started the mass production of gearless machines on which it has been working for a long time.

As one of the main suppliers in Türkiye with several machine distributorships under it, ILALIFT has introduced the Ila-eon brand gearless engine, which began production in Türkiye during the company’s 10th year . Expressing his remarks on the subject, ILALIFT General Manager Stefanos Parizyanos said: “In our 10th year, where we continue on our journey with firm and confident steps, we are proud to have started mass production of our new generation gearless machine, which we have been operating with the Italian brand EON for three years. EON specializes in lift control systems, and our goals of increasing our export share and developing products and solutions that are advantageous to domestic package lift manufacturers increase the added value. With EON Italy, we have also launched the new controller card which uses CANopen and Internet of Things (IOT) technologies at the beginning of this year.”

Studies continue for production at higher capacities and speeds while the production has started for 240 and 320 sheaves, 400 kg and 1600 kg, 1.6 and 1.6 speed rates for Ila-eon gearless machines in the first stage. Some of the advantages featured in the machine design include a higher quality magnet, mounted magnet technology and a new generation lightweight design. Ila-eon’s sheaves, which meet the rigidity requirements of 50HRC, and the heavy-weight bearings are designed for the longevity of the machine. The double-coil silent brake is the special design and production of ILALIFT,  and it has an EU type inspection certificate. Compressor windings are designed for maximum efficiency with minimized losses, thanks to robotic technology and the use of copper wires. A computer-assisted electronic torque meter test system offers great advantages for quality control.

If we are to examine the EON controller card developed together with the machine, a majority of the integrated control panel solutions currently available in the market are formed through combining an inverter with the lift’s controller card. Although this is seen as an advantage in certain terms, it can become a disadvantage when the outstanding stop-and-start performance, direct stop, advanced inverter settings and too low- or too high-capacity needs are taken into account. Users who would prefer inverters from companies around the world that are experts in their field are not able to use such products.

The EON control system solves the problem and ensures this both in small scales and with flexible cabinet designs. A main controller, which is quite thin, has been designed through the integration of certain components in the board into the controller card using advanced technology in a mechathronical way, instead of integrating a standard inverter into the system. With this controller, various control boards can be achieved in narrow scales and different types. The inverter can be placed into the well without a cabinet since it is connected to the control system with only four wires, thanks to the CANopen technology, and can be adjusted and managed directly by the EON controller card. In this way, a control system with small scales can be achieved, and the advantages of both technologies are brought together without compromising the advanced level inverter technologies. Besides, since it is a platform designed on CANopen and IoT technologies, there are several advantages such as remote manageability, ease of technical service, installation wizard and direct management of components such as the inventor, door card and overload system via the control system.

When Eon control systems are used with the eon-ila motor series, motor settings can be made automatically by selecting the motor model directly on the menu. The ultimate plug-and-play product becomes available from auto-tuning to brake anchorages as the control system and motor are tested together. Thus, both a quick installation is made and the fully compatible operation of the motor and controller system is guaranteed.

The Italian Liftern (EON) teams that develop the control board and ILALIFT teams that design the machine said: “Our aim in this partnership is to increase the added value that successful Turkish manufacturers bring to the economy of Türkiye, which is an important hub for package lift exports by providing first class local products to these manufacturers.”
