United Elevator Cabs, Inc. has unveiled its Online Cab Designer, a 3D rendering program available without cost at website: uselevators.com/cab. The designer is intended to be user friendly and provides the option of choosing between “Raised Removable” or “Extrusion” models. Once chosen, an array of stones, woods, metals, textures and other finishing materials are available for inclusion. Completed designs can be emailed, printed and/or attached to a quote.
Remote Monitoring, Event Notification System
Kings III Emergency Communications’ Online Remote Monitoring (ORM) service allows 24/7 remote monitoring and event notification of elevators, regardless of controller type. The service uses existing Americans with Disabilities Act lines, WiFi or Ethernet to make its data web accessible. The next generation of the product, ORM 3, features real-time results, a tablet-based system, Apple iPad and Android applications, video on demand and automated reporting. Additionally, the graphic status display on the iPad app allows quick viewing of individual elevator and escalator status. The device list gives a snapshot of what the portfolio is doing, while the video-on-demand option gives a real-time visual of the situation inside the elevator.
ORM 3 provides a performance application both functional for elevator contractors and a simplified one for end users. The system is highly customizable, allowing users to program a custom testing schedule, and designate who to notify and the means of doing so. The service provides secure web setup and data access. ORM also offers protection with unalterable records of service visits, monitored operation and event data.
