Prolift Celebrates30 Years

Prolift-Celebrates30-Years
Prolift's headquarters in Plovdiv, Bulgaria

Bulgarian elevator, escalator and components manufacturer has been helping move people and goods since 1991.

Prolift Ltd. is an elevator, escalator and components manufacturing company focused on custom solutions for vertical transportation. From its facilities in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, it supplies the European elevator industry with special and custom lifts, cabins, car frames and components. Having recently celebrated 30 years of operation, Prolift has strived to grow a customer-centric culture and offer high-end equipment to its partners and clients. Another goal the commercial, residential and public-building lift manufacturer has is highlighting the unique design of each building.

The company also operates a large service portfolio and researches and develops cloud solutions for predictive maintenance for elevators from multiple brands. Additionally, it is ISO 9001:2015-certified and licensed to maintain, repair and modernize elevators and lifts for those with disabilities. With various sensors or direct communication with elevator controllers, Prolift collects operational data about the condition and behavior of multiple components in the elevators it manufactures. These data are collected in the cloud, where they are analyzed and subjected to various models that aid in the search for anomalies. Then, as many problems may be detected even before they occur, the company may intervene preventively. This allows better maintenance planning and, often, the prevention of interruptions in the elevators’ operations.

Prolift looks to connect the dots between hardware and digital cloud services, ensuring high levels of both user experience and reliability. To that end, its data collection and analysis allow self-learning (machine-learning) algorithms to fine-tune customer experiences, especially when integrated with a property management system for “smart” buildings. Possible value-added scenarios include recognizing customers and serving them based on their habits and increasing security through different access-control levels for ordinary versus unusual visits to the building and users of its elevators.

Looking to the future, Prolift plans its development in line with the most advanced digital transformation processes, both in production and for its customers. Together with technological partners from Trakia.Tech (a Bulgarian think tank for information-technology applications in the industry), the company develops components and cloud solutions for “smart” elevators. It looks for opportunities for these solutions to be applicable not only in its new products, but also in their integration into its installed base.

Prolift is an expanding company that looks to combine modern industry advantages with custom engineering. The company is also a co-establisher of the Bulgarian Association of Lift Manufacturers (BALM), a long-term member of the European Federation of Elevator Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (EFESME), and AHK Bulgaria, the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Prolift is also active in the Trakia Economic Zone, one of the largest-scale economic projects in Bulgaria.
