TKE Celebrates “Uplifting” Community

Holiday sweater contest held by the Research and Development team

TK Elevator published a post on its website that gives an overview of the community that the company has fostered since 1925. TKE’s company and “community culture” have grown throughout the years thanks to many various methods, including an internally published newsletter that included cash prizes to employees for their innovative ideas and community-focused charitable drives and fundraisers. For one such fundraiser, employees submitted their favorite recipes, which were then compiled into a cookbook.

These fun work events helped strengthen the company from within. However, effort was also expended to help the local community. Many events and projects have been created to aid the community surrounding the TKE branches around the country. For example:

  • The Fort Worth, Texas, branch held a raffle for Children’s Medical Center Fund, which raised US$1,000 for the hospital.
  • The Atlanta branch sent boxes of “a little sunshine” to businesses affected by the February 2021 storms, which contained only yellow items, such as messages, snacks and even TKE sunglasses.
  • The Seattle branch joined Habitat for Humanity’s 14th Annual Women Build, which supports local female homeowners.
  • The Research and Development team held a holiday sweater contest for employees, which raised funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Both TKE’s internal and external communities have been enriched by the company’s commitment to relationship-building and its “uplifting” culture.
