The LIFT 109 experience at Battersea Power Station in London is now taking pre-sale bookings. LIFT 109, which gets its name from the fact that the glass elevator — built by Otis — rises 109 m to the viewing platform, combines an exhibition space housed in the power station’s Art Deco Turbine Hall A with a glass left ascent to the top of the Grade II listed building’s north-west chimney, the South London Press reports. The experience pays homage to the power station’s industrial past and features immersive mechanical displays and light installations created to mimic electricity generation. Guests then enter the glass elevator and are treated to 360-degree panoramic views of London’s skyline, along with a bird’s eye view of Battersea Power Station. The only specifics that the website offers on when the attraction opens is “ this autumn.”
