Minden, Nevada-headquartered Maxton Manufacturing Co., the largest single producer of hydraulic elevator control valves in North America, provided training to 32 KONE mechanics on November 2-3 in Beltsville, Maryland. Consisting of classroom sessions and hands-on instruction on adjustment and troubleshooting for the Maxton TA4M training unit, the continuing-education classes provided mechanics with 4.0 credit hours through the National Association of Elevator Contractors’ Certified Elevator Technician (CET) program. Participants said they particularly appreciated the simulator portion of the program and instructors’ ability to answer all questions. “We serve all your OEM, new construction, modernization, replacement/repair and CET educational needs when it comes to the products we provide,” Maxton spokesman Karl Keller said.
