TKE announced on October 22 that 190 new vertical-transportation (VT) units are a key part of the newly inaugurated Sydney Metro City Line in Sydney, Australia. The TKE escalators and elevators are part of a landmark project that “is set to revolutionize how commuters travel across Sydney.” The new line opened in August, seeing remarkable success with approximately 200,000 passenger trips daily. TKE’s VT solutions enhance accessibility and traffic flow by providing essential “last mile” connectivity that allows passengers to easily transition from train to final destination. All TKE VT units on the Sydney Metro City Line, as well as additional third-party units, will be supported by TKE’s Universal Service platform that offers comprehensive service for timely maintenance, repair and inspection.
