The 2nd annual Elevator Champions for Charity (ECC) golf outing is planned on July 18 at the North Hills Country Club in Manhasset, New York. Registration, including brunch, starts at 10 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at noon and a cocktail reception and dinner at 5:30 p.m. Registration for an individual golfer is US$525; for a foursome, including a tee sign, US$2,000; and US$225 for the cocktail reception/dinner only. Various sponsorships, from US$250 to US$7,500, are available. Including an impassioned speech by ECC Chairman and President of Champion Elevator Don Gelestino about the charity’s mission, the inaugural event in July 2021 drew more than 100 participants and raised more than US$62,000. Proceeds are distributed to families affected by critical or fatal elevator accidents, the Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation and training and safety programs of the National Association of Elevator Contractors.
