“Shock due to multiple injuries” was the cause of death for a 7-year-old girl who fell down an elevator shaft in the Sion neighborhood of Mumbai, India, on November 5, Mid-Day reports. The child was playing hide-and-seek with her friends on the fourth floor of a building when she ran to the front door of an elevator. That door, which normally would have had to be pulled open, suddenly opened to an empty shaft, with the elevator on the ground floor. The girl was declared dead on arrival at a local hospital, and an Accidental Death Report was filed.
