AKE Aufzüge & Fahrtreppen GmbH, headquartered in Baesweiler, Germany, announced it has been awarded a contract to exchange an existing hydraulic elevator with a new AKE elevator in the historic town hall of Neuerburg in the Eifel Region of Western Germany. The deal was secured by AKE Germany Country Manager Wolfgang Servas. AKE Europe Managing Director Norman Rosnersky tells ELEVATOR WORLD the new elevator will be installed in a newly developed annex building at the town hall. The client is the Town of Neuerburg. “The challenge and opportunity is to bring new, modern technology into a historic environment that needs to be maintained and taken care of,” Rosnersky said.
