Alimak Group announced March 4 that it will, for the time being, withhold its parts and services from delivery to Russia while the country is involved in a military situation in Ukraine, the company says. Noting that the “war in Ukraine is a human tragedy,” the Alimak announcement said the company’s “thoughts and concerns are with all those affected by this horrible situation.” The announcement further stated that Alimak Group will be “continuously monitoring the developments” to consider the implications the Ukraine situation will have on employees, partners, customers and operations. “Consequently, we have decided to stop all deliveries to Russia until further notice, and we are not pursuing any new sales.” Alimak Group, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, has offices in a number of countries and provides a range of vertical-transportation parts and services, chiefly in industrial and construction areas.
