Ascendor Lifttechnik, headquartered in Niederwaldkirchin in Upper Austria, expects a new sales record of EUR12 million (US$12.4 million) for the 2022 financial year thanks to a successful new product and robust demand from export markets, particularly in Asia and South America. The company’s new UnaPorte® shaftless lift for indoor and outdoor use, unveiled in October 2021 at Interlift in Augsburg, Germany, has already seen more than 100 installations worldwide. “We owe the resounding success of the UnaPorte to, among other things, good partnerships with our specialist dealers,” Managing Director Erwin Roither said. For example, Ascendor Lifttechnik held large-scale international training courses for mechanics in 2022, helping it achieve the highest monthly sales in company history in September. The company said another contributor to 2022’s success was the opening of new sales markets in “prosperous countries” such as South Korea, Thailand, Kenya, Chile and Cyprus. Exports account for roughly 85% of Ascendor Lifttechnik’s sales, and it plans to enter additional markets in 2023.
