Developers Plan Residential Tower In Fort Lauderdale

A pair of developer groups from New York are promoting construction of a new high-rise residential building in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Florida YIMBY reports. The tower, a 364-ft-tall, 36-story building, is being reviewed by Station Village Development, a joint venture of Acquest Development of Williamsville, New York, and Uniland Development Co. of Amherst, New York. Plans for the project, at 199 Northwest 5th Avenue, are calling for 432,800 ft2 yielding 400 residential units, 4,798 ft2 of ground-floor retail space and a parking structure with room for up to 500 vehicles. Main design is by Dorsky + Yue International Architecture, and landscaping is by Architectural Alliance Landscape. The residential component is planned to offer studio, one- and two-bedroom layouts. Exterior and interior amenities would be located on the 10th floor and offer a 20,000-ft2 landscaped pool deck fitted with cabanas and seating areas, lawns, barbecue grills and kitchens, a 1,627-ft2 fitness center, a 3,781-ft2 business center and a 3,843-ft2 club room. The government review panel is considering the application, but no construction schedule has been revealed.
