DiCicco Retires From NYC’s TEI Group

TEI Group, headquartered in NYC, recently announced the retirement of Joe DiCicco. A native of Venezuela who grew up in Elmhurst, Queens, DiCicco enjoyed a long elevator career that included eight years each at Knudson Elevator, Nouveau Elevator and Mainco Elevator and 16 years at TEI. TEI Executive Vice President of Operations Michael Staub says that, from day one, DiCicco has been a leader and positive influence with a strong work ethic, skill and dedication to the trade. Among his favorite modernization jobs are two systems built from scratch: the glass hydraulic one at Tiffany & Co. on Wall Street and a six-story glass elevator system at the Museum of Modern Art. DiCicco is working on his QEI and plans to become an elevator inspector.
