EmerCom Technologies Partners with Delta Elevator

EmerCom Technologies, Inc. of Burnaby, Canada, has partnered with Delta Elevator Co., Ltd., to accelerate the deployment of its ASME 17.1-2019/B44-2019 emergency communication solution for elevators. EmerCom, maker of the EMC-60 hands-free phone, is a leading elevator emergency communications provider, both as an equipment developer/manufacturer and as a systems integrator for complete solutions. Delta, located in Kitchener, Canada, is the largest independent elevator maintenance company in Ontario, with service branches in London, Kitchener, Mississauga, Markham and Peterborough. Delta also designs and manufactures its own line of elevators and controllers. Thomas Sternberg, president, EmerCom, said working with Delta “provides EmerCom with access to field testing and to expert feedback of its systems designed to meet the 2019 Code” requiring two-way emergency communication on elevators. He went on to say Delta will have a role in development work “as we expand our product offering.”
