GENCO Maintenance Operations Merged Into Champion

Champion Elevator, headquartered in Manhattan, NYC, with locations in Connecticut, New Jersey and Long Island, announced in February it is merging the maintenance operations of Queens, NYC-based GENCO Elevator Inc. into its operations. GENCO will continue to handle modernization and new construction projects led by Richard Cohen. With nearly 5,000 units under monthly maintenance contracts, Champion said the additional maintenance work strengthens its New York expansion plans, enhancing its “position as a valuable partner to building owners as a leading independent alternative to the multinational elevator companies.” Previous GENCO owners Robert Morgan and Michael Naccara are now part of the Champion team. GENCO was established in 2005 and specializes in mid-market elevators.
