City officials in Bayonne, New Jersey, approximately 10 m southwest of Manhattan, NYC, have approved proposals to construct the first phase of NY Vue, which includes a 26-story residential tower that will be the city’s tallest, New York YIMBY reports. The tower is set to break ground this summer on a 155,000-ft2 plot near the Hudson River waterfront where Chosin Few Way and 40th Street meet. On tap are 281 rental units of varying sizes, a new public plaza along 40th Street, ground-level retail and 556 parking spaces. The developer is Om Ganesh LLC, a subsidiary of real estate development, construction and property management firm Ramani Group. Renderings by Jorge Mastropietro Architects Atelier show a 20-story tower atop a six-story podium featuring tan cladding, floor-to-ceiling windows and an open-air amenity deck atop the podium. When complete, NY Vue could include five additional tall towers.
