Hitachi Group Receives Record Order for Elevators and Escalators in Hong Kong SAR

Hitachi, Ltd. recently announced that Hitachi Elevator Engineering Co. (Hong Kong SAR) Ltd., received an order for elevators, escalators and moving walks from Hong Kong SAR developer Sun Hung Kai Properties Ltd. for the Hong Kong West Kowloon Station complex of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High Speed Rail Link. The order, the company’s largest to date, consists of 115 elevators including 22 high-speed elevators with a rated speed of 300 m/min, 41 escalators, four moving walks, a destination floor reservation system and FI-700 elevator management system that ensure efficient elevator operations. The units will be manufactured by Hitachi Elevator (China) Co., Ltd. and are scheduled for delivery by December 2024.
