Indiana Jail’s Elevator Floor Needs Emergency Repair

Madison County officials who oversee a jail in Anderson, Indiana, have approved emergency money to repair an elevator, The Herald Bulletin reports. A county property manager told officials that the elevator at the Madison County Detention Area in charge of the jail needs immediate repairs of the floor because it is rotting. Specifically, the floor is 80% rotted and must be replaced. The job will be undertaken by American Elevator at a price tag of US$36,110. Work will take an estimated week to be done.
