Industry Veteran Launches Technical Services and Training Company

Industry veteran Kevin Heling has launched Elevator Technical & Training Associates, LLC (etta), a support and technical information service provider to the elevator industry. Training is related to elevator safety (code-directed) testing and is also available for technical consultation on specific elevator components. Heling spent 10 years in sales and business development roles at Wurtec. Prior to Wurtec, he was general manager and president at Brugg Wire Rope for more than nine years. He previously spent nearly 20 years with Draka Elevator Products. Heling worked for more than 38 years with these suppliers, gaining experience with traveling cables, electrical wiring/installation products, wire ropes and belts, and elevator tools, installation and testing products. Building on a technical relationship developed over the past eight years, etta continues work specific to products manufactured by Henning GmbH from Vechelde and Schwelm, Germany. Contract/project work for Heling and etta, currently supporting both Henning and Wurtec, is focused on training for the Henning ELVI 2 system. Heling is QEI-certified and a member of the NAESA International Board of Certification. He also serves on ASME A17 code committees.
