Elevator motor control technology manufacturer Invertek Drives Ltd. launched its new variable frequency drive (VFD), Optidrive Elevator Core, on October 17 at interlift 2023 in Augsburg, Germany. Describing Optidrive Elevator Core as “industry changing,” Invertek observed the new drive provides “unprecedented” size, functionality and power. Designed for elevator manufacturers, installers and engineers, the VFD offers easy installation, configuration and commissioning. A standout feature is its unique USB-C connectivity, allowing users to configure and power up the drive directly from a mobile device, eliminating the need for mains power. In addition, a built-in data recorder can be accessed without mains power, providing convenience and flexibility in challenging elevator shaft environments. Invertek says Optidrive Elevator Core is “poised to redefine elevator control.”
