Key City Theatre in Cranbrook, Canada, has officially begun its renovation project to add an elevator, making the upper parts of the theater more accessible, reports Cranbrook Daily Townsman. The elevator installation was made possible by the theater’s Dreams Come True Raffle that raised CAD35,940 (US$25,160), along with CAD200,000 (US$140,014) invested by the Department of Canadian Heritage. Columbia Basin Trust and Regional District of East Kootenay Electoral Area C provided further financial support. The elevator will connect the first and second floors of the theater, making the building and its programs and performances more inclusive to people who have mobility issues.
