KONE President and CEO Role To Transition From Ehrnrooth to Delorme

(l-r) Philippe Delorme and Henrik Ehrnrooth

Finland-based KONE announced on October 25 the president and CEO role will transition on January 1, 2024, from Henrik Ehrnrooth to Philippe Delorme. Ehrnrooth will continue as an executive advisor through March 2024 to ensure a smooth transition. Ehrnrooth joined KONE in 2009 as chief financial officer, assuming the roles of president and CEO in 2014. Thanking Ehnrooth for his service, Board of Directors Chairman Antti Herlin observed that KONE grew and transformed into a “true lifecycle-focused people flow company” under Ehrnrooth’s leadership, which commenced just as China’s construction “supercycle” was coming to an end. At that time, the company began to drive growth from services and digital technologies. Delorme joins KONE from Schneider Electric, where he has more than 25 years of leadership experience. He most recently served as executive vice president, Europe. Prior to that, Delorme held positions in the areas of strategy, technology, operations and sales in Europe, the U.S. and Asia. Herlin said he is confident that Delorme, along with the rest of the executive team, will propel KONE forward with his “passion for technology and sustainability, together with his experience in a broad range of leadership roles and international background.”
