Lödige Industries Acquires Northern Elevator Ltd.

Lödige Industries, a leading supplier of lift solutions, has announced the acquisition of British lift installation, repairs and maintenance provider Northern Elevator Ltd. The company and its employees will henceforth be managed by the British subsidiary Lödige (U.K.) Ltd. while maintaining its own corporate identity. The acquisition expands coverage for the companies across the U.K., and the additional specialist staff and offices strengthen the service competence and network for both companies’ customers. By acquiring Northern Elevator, Lödige Industries is responding to the significant increase of demand for its products in the north of the U.K. and expands its capabilities for servicing, maintaining and repairing all lift types including passenger lifts, according to the release. Thanks to an increased countrywide network of engineers and technicians, both companies can maintain close travel distances for service and on-call activities. Northern Elevators benefits from Lödige Industries’ expertise and network and will be able to offer its customers an enhanced portfolio of market-leading goods lifts, including Lödige’s top-selling Sherpa goods lift.
