Elevcon, the 23rd International Congress on Vertical Transportation Technologies, took place in Prague, Czech Republic, on June 20-22, and CEDES Group CEO Christian-Erik Thoeny was among those who deemed the event a great success on LinkedIn. Organized by Elevcon Chairwoman Marja-Liisa Siikonen, Elevcon included discussion on topics such as connectivity, energy efficiency and the rise of AI. A much-discussed topic, Thoeny said, was the future trend of data transparency. CEDES gave a presentation covering the Internet of Things (IoT), sensor fusion, digital twins and product life cycle management. “Elevcon was very well organized and managed by Siikonen,” Thoeny observed. “It was a great opportunity to have a big concentration of elevator specialists discussing new approaches.”
