MAD Elevator Inc., headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, is expanding to the U.S. with a new manufacturing facility in the Dallas, Texas, area. MAD Marketing Manager Anupa Simon tells ELEVATOR WORLD the company will open the new facility by the end of the year to continue to grow its manufacturing capacity. “As we continue to grow, it only makes sense to get closer to our customers the U.S.,” she said. MAD, which stands for “Mainline And DMG,” started as a partnership between Italian fixtures manufacturer DMG SpA and Mississauga-based Mainline Elevators nearly 20 years ago. Since then, MAD has developed an expanded product line including fixtures, interiors, communication products and many digital solutions. Simon said MAD is seeing quite a bit of demand from customers to supply for U.S. federal jobs. “By having a facility that can meet ‘Buy American’ requirements, we will be able to meet those needs,” she said. The new Texas location will manufacture fixtures and perform interior installation in the Dallas area.
