Mayr Power Transmission Opens Production Facility in India

Mayr power transmission opening the new production facility in Halol

Mayr power transmission opened a production facility in Halol near Vadodara in the state of Gujarat in India at the end of 2024, making this the fourth for the company in addition to the headquarters in Mauerstetten in Bavaria, Germany, Ostrzeszów in Poland (1994) and Zhangjiagang, China (2006). The well-established family business has been serving the Indian market since the 1990s via a sales partnership with a local authorized dealer. This new facility means Mayr can produce safety brakes and clutches directly on-site for the local market, ensuring safety and reliability in machines and systems. The up-and-coming Indian market is now well established in the high-tech segment in many areas. By manufacturing locally, the manufacturer of safety brakes, torque limiters and shaft couplings is now able to meet the demand for Mayr products “made in India” and thus serve the Indian market directly.
