Paul Turner Appointed LEIA President for 2023

Turner

Paul Turner, technical director at Schindler, has been appointed as the Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA) president for 2023. Turner has been in the industry for more than 20 years, having worked for large lift companies and subcontractor businesses. He currently sits on the Schindler UK and Ireland Board of Management. He has been on the LEIA board for the past three years, and during 2022, he served as vice president, working closely with the LEIA team. Turner replaces outgoing President Alastair Stannah. As part of his role, Turner will focus on sustainability supporting the sustainable development of towns and cities through technology and innovation while being supportive and considerate of environmental commitments, people — particularly people development — and governance. LEIA is the trade association and advisory body for the lift and escalator industry in the U.K.
