Schindler Lifts Australia Pty. Ltd. welcomed 20 third-year apprentices to its training center in Sydney in April. The trainees began their apprenticeships in January 2020, just before the pandemic struck. For the recent weeklong training, they traveled from Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane (and Sydney) to take part in theoretical and practical exercises. They studied circuit development, elevator machine brakes, motor control wiring, safety circuits, light circuits and power circuits. “It was great to see their development over the past two-plus years (and see them face to face — not through a video conference system),” Schindler stated. “They have a bright future ahead of them at Schindler!”
