Stannah Raises Funds for Children’s Hospital

Three Stannah team members repelled down the side of the hospital dressed as superheroes to raise funds.

A team from the Stannah Lifts South West England and South Wales Service Branch rappelled down eight floors of Bristol Children’s Hospital in Bristol, U.K., dressed as superheroes to raise money for Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity in October, the company recently announced. The branch raised more than £1500 (US$1,784) with funds matched from the Stannah Group, and the money raised from the event will fund projects above and beyond what the National Health Service (NHS) alone can provide at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). Funds are used to provide everything from the little things that can help relieve anxiety, promote recovery and make a patient’s stay easier. Additionally, the charity funds the transformation of underused spaces to give patients privacy for life-changing decisions and conversations, as well as the development of new technologies and treatments that can change or even save the lives of patients.
