TK Elevator (TKE) Canada raised more than CAD500,000 (US$397,360) over five years for the nonprofit Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Canada, dedicated to finding a cure for CF. Fundraising efforts were led by TKE employee Meaghan Addante, who passed away in 2021 from CF at age 28. On May 29, TKE Canada was a national sponsor of the Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History, which took place across the country in more than 70 locations. Since selecting CF Canada as its charity of choice in 2016, TKE Canada has consistently exceeded the company’s annual goal of raising CAD100,000 (US$79,461), and in 2019, TKE was the recipient of CF Canada’s prestigious National Champion Award. “The world was a much better place because of [Addante], and her efforts around CF inspired so many throughout Canada and around the world,” TKE Canada CEO and President Gary Medeiros said. “She was relentless in her fight, and that is a tradition we will continue in her honor.”
