UNITEC Announces the Retirement of John Farmer

UNITEC Parts Company recently announced that John Farmer is retiring after 31 years. Farmer joined UNITEC in August 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Connecticut. Starting his career with Otis right out of college in 1991, he worked in the spare parts assembly department as a manufacturing engineer, transitioned to join Electronic Service Engineering and then the Call Back Reduction Center. In 1998, the Otis mechanic tech support line, Otis ROLE, started at Farmer’s desk. Through staffing and continuous improvement over the past 18 years, Otis ROLE has grown into a premier elevator knowledge and support center. “The customer service he’s provided, the detailed analysis for all our projects, the incredible work done to make our team a success and all his organization and processes have been the backbone of our team and are so greatly appreciated. We’ve all learned so much and had lots of laughs along the way,” UNITEC said.
