Woman Stuck, Injured in Fall on Escalator

Emergency responders were called to cut a woman free after she became trapped on an escalator on the Gold Coast in Australia, 9 News reported on April 6. The woman reportedly slipped while riding the escalator, and her top then becoming stuck on the standing grill. She was taken to a hospital after the ordeal.
She was stuck on the escalator for about 15 minutes before firefighters and paramedics were able to cut her top off to free her. The victim suffered minor shoulder and neck injuries from the initial fall.
