Workers in Rotterdam, Netherlands, have launched construction of a high-rise apartment and townhouse project known as De Zalmhaven, ArchDaily reports. The project, by developer A & Amvest, will include a main high-rise designed by Dam & Partners Architecten and two mid-rise buildings designed by KAAN Architecten. The project is going up in a spot that was once a shipyard and salmon fishery. The current plans will create a residential/working area that will offer 452 apartments and 33 townhouses along with new commercial spaces, a restaurant and a viewing point located in Netherlands’ tallest residential tower. The two, lower 70-m structures may be accessed via spacious and elegant entrances clad in bright natural stone. Though the exact height of the tallest structure was not reported, the image proposal make it look about 3-times the height of the 70-m structures, or about 210 m. No construction timeline was mentioned.
