Künzelsau, Germany-headquartered Ziehl-Abegg, a ventilation, control and drive technology specialist, has been honored with the prestigious Manufacturing Excellence (MX) Award, with the jury highlighting its innovation, vertical integration and consistent focus on digitalization, sustainability and process optimization. The award is presented annually by the Institute for Technology and Management at the Technical University of Berlin in cooperation with partners. Recognizing companies that set benchmarks in manufacturing and production management, the MX Award is one of the most important industrial honors in the German-speaking world. Ziehl-Abegg’s deeply integrated production processes that use innovative digital tools such as Shopfloor Cockpit and a highly automated Surface Mount Technology assembly line made it stand out in the Quality Management category, and its comprehensive culture of continuous improvement — from shop floor to executive offices — was praised. The Ziehl-Abegg team accepted their award during a February awards ceremony in Berlin.
