Azizi Developments confirmed a 725-m height for the 131-story Burj Azizi, its planned tower on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai that aims to be the world’s second tallest after the 828-m-tall Burj Khalifa, outlets including Gulf News report. Burj Azizi will house an unspecified number of residences, with sales to launch in February 2025. Completion is anticipated in 2028. Located next to the World Trade Centre metro station, the more than AED6 billion (US$1.6 billion) development is also set to include a hotel. It will aim for other “world’s highest” designations, among them: hotel lobby on the 11th floor, nightclub on the 126th floor, observation deck on the 130th floor, restaurant on the 122nd floor and hotel room on the 118th floor. The architect for Burj Azizi is AE7, and the vertical-transportation consultant is VTi Global. A main contractor is expected to be named shortly.
