Plans Revealed for New Sterling Bay Project in Chicago

Rendering by Pappageorge Haymes

A new apartment complex is being developed by Sterling Bay in Chicago, Chicago YIMBY reports. The Chicago-based real estate developer has again partnered with Lone Star Fund to continue their collaboration beyond Lincoln Yards, a $6 billion mixed-use project consisting of more than 50 riverfront acres of new residential and commercial construction. Designed by architecture firm Pappageorge Haymes the plan will mass at 168 ft and be 15-stories tall, and face Lincoln Yards across the North Branch River with 359 new units. The plan features angles and setbacks that mimic the bending of the river, and the façade will be a mix of brick, metal floor slips and floor-to-ceiling glass panels, and showcase various outdoor amenity spaces including outfitted grills, cabanas, lounge areas, and a pool. No official timeline has been given for completion.
