On November 12, Otis subsidiary Otis India announced the sixth edition of the "Made to Move Communities” student challenge. Indian students will be among more than 200 participants from 18 countries that will collaborate with 150 Otis mentors across the globe to develop AI-led innovations that support their communities after natural disasters. The initiative reinforces Otis' commitment to advancing science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) learning to enable the leaders of tomorrow to build more resilient cities for the future. The global student challenge inspires young minds to develop creative, STEM-based solutions to real-world mobility issues. Teams from each region compete before Otis judges, and the regional winners advance to a global finale in which selected schools receive grants totaling US$7,500-US$35,000 to further support their education. Otis India President Sebi Joseph said he is confident the initiative will bring forth ideas that solve mobility challenges for unforeseen situations.
