En colaboración con su socio de larga data, Plant Construction, Otis instalará cinco Gen3.TM ascensores con Compass® destination-dispatch technology at 100 McAllister Avenue, a historic 28-story San Francisco tower originally designed by Timothy Pfleger and built in 1930, Otis announced during its third quarter 2025 earnings conference call on October 29. Slated for completion in 2028, the larger project involves Plant remodeling the structure and incorporating seismic upgrades for the University of California (UC) School of Law as part of the university's long-range plan to crate an academic village in downtown San Francisco. The Gothic Revival and Art Deco structure served as a church, a hotel, government offices and more before being acquired by UC in 1980. Otis said the new elevator system will "deliver advanced vertical transportation while preserving the building's historic character."
