Jacent Ley was recently named vice president (VP) of Metro Elevator Northwest, helping "lead the team as we continue delivering reliable, customer-focused elevator solutions across the Pacific Northwest." Based in Seattle, Washington, Ley joins the company from Schindler, where he had a more than 20-year career holding management roles in locations including Alaska, Idaho, Montana and Washington. Ley joined the vertical-transportation industry after serving as a SERE (survival, evasion, resistance and escape) instructor for the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a construction apprentice for Hobson Elevator (later acquired by Schindler) and a new-installation technician for Otis in the Spokane-Coeur d'Alene area before joining Schindler.
