In a July 22 call discussing Otis' second quarter (2Q) earnings, Chair, President and CEO Judy Marks said she expects strong growth in service — modernization, repair and maintenance — as well as robust backlog in both modernization and new equipment to support the OEM's "expectation for continued growth in the quarters ahead." Service sales growth — with net sales up 11% and organic sales up 9% — matched the highest level the Connecticut-based company achieved since its spinoff from United Technologies in 2020. Overall, net sales were up 7% and organic sales up 6%, with new equipment net sales flat and organic sales down 1%. Core business operations generated operating profit of US$575 million, an increase of US$156 million. For the second half of 2026, Otis plans to further embrace a service-led growth model, with a focus on pricing, digitalization and "operating excellence," Marks said, "reinforcing our conviction in the long-term growth potential of the business and our ability to deliver sustainable value creation for shareholders over time."
