Nader Antar, director de estrategia y director de tecnología (CTO) de Otis Europa, Oriente Medio y África (EMEA), compartió recientemente con Negocios en Medio Oriente the OEM's digitalization and corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts and the role Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries play. Otis has been present in the GCC for more than 45 years. Antar observed the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030 states that the construction and engineering industries will be "key enablers of economic success" for the emirate. Similar sentiments are part of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, Kuwait's National Development Plan through 2035 and Qatar National Vision 2030. "Vertical transportation (VT), along with infrastructure and real estate development, will play a vital role in making these visions a reality," he said. Otis EMEA has provided tailored VT solutions for major infrastructure projects such as Kuwait International Airport's Terminal 2. It also recently launched its Signature Service lifetime VT maintenance package in the U.A.E., Qatar and Kuwait, and plans to roll it out in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain soon. To help nurture the next generation of engineers, Otis U.A.E. is taking part in the "Made to Move Communities" CSR program, in which it is working with GEMS Wellington Academy in Silicon Oasis, Dubai, to support STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education.
