اتصالات المصعد اليومية

A المادة الأخيرة في  خليجي تايمز شاهدت الكاتبة، الصحفية أنجانا سانكار، وهي تفكر في ركوب المصعد في شقتها كل صباح في طريقها إلى العمل. منظر دبي من شقتها في الطابق 43 هو شيء تحبه. الانتظار لمدة خمس دقائق أو أكثر لمصعدها ليس كذلك. ومع ذلك، فقد لاحظت أنه على الرغم من أنها لا تستمتع بهذه الخطوة في روتينها، إلا أن هناك شيئًا فريدًا في المصاعد. كما تكتب في مقالتها:

"It’s not where we are coming from, and not where we are going. We’re all Schroedinger’s cat while we wait, and that gives us a space to talk with our neighbors who we might not ever get to engage with or perhaps even meet. Most of my socialization was limited to this momentary space especially in the COVID times. We may not be able to gather in the places or numbers or ways we want to, but these fleeting moments in lobbies and elevators have connected me to other humans in our orbit."
