Selon un rapport publié par MarketScreen en utilisant des sources citées par Bloomberg Nouvelles, KONE is once again evaluating a potential bid for its rival TK Elevator (TKE). KONE is said to have held discussions with advisers and explored financing options as it considers making an offer for parts or the entirety of TKE. Sources indicate that KONE would likely need to partner with another entity to overcome regulatory hurdles, given the significant overlap between the companies' operations in Europe. The renewed interest from KONE comes as TKE's owners, private equity firms Advent and Cinven, have reportedly begun preparations for a potential initial public offering of the company. This is not the first time Kone has set its sights on TKE. In 2020, KONE together with CVC Capital, attempted to acquire the business. “We have for years stated that we believe there is room for further consolidation in the industry,” a KONE spokesperson said in the report.
