Le conseil municipal de Basauri, en Espagne, a annoncé que le 22 juin marquera le début des travaux de construction de cinq nouveaux ascenseurs reliant les quartiers d'El Kalero et de Basozelai. Journal Euskadi reports. During construction, a dedicated technician will be responsible for informing residents about the project's progress and addressing their inquiries, both in person and by phone. The more than EUR5 million (US$5.7 million) investment made by the City Council will ensure accessibility in the Basozelai neighborhood, whose challenging topography has historically posed difficulties, particularly for the elderly population. Four of the elevators will connect the lower and upper sections of Karmelo Torre, while the fifth will start from the rear of the church. All will share the same aesthetic and have a capacity for 13 people.
